christmas shit
Jonathan Joestar is a more thoughtful and sensitive person than me oh god why am I in charge of deciding these gifts why does he have such a large family why why why.
family;
Dio: An entire box, about the size of one you'd put a shirt in, of zippers and decorative zipper pulls. Upon further reflection this felt like it could be construed as outrageously passive-aggressive, so he also receives a book on the specifics and evolution of human sacrifice in the Aztec civilization which Jonathan has also been reading lately.
Joseph: A silk top hat for the hat collection and three books on Asian history - the Warring States period in China, samurai culture in feudal Japan, and a really thick one detailing most of the general mythology of the major countries in the region.
Jotaro: Jonathan is as stymied by the idea of purchasing a gift for Jotaro Stoneface Kujo as I am, so he's hoping for the best and just going with a nice sweater and knit gold scarf.
Jolyne: A formal dress (something like this) and a pair of earrings like these.
Giorno: An assortment of classic 50s candies that have very obviously been hand-picked and packaged by Jonathan thanks to the rather haphazard presentation of the basket. Also a Christmas cactus because he was so tickled by the existence of such a thing he couldn't resist.
Everyone in the family who is not Dio will also be receiving a tin of gingerbread men along with their gifts. It's pretty obvious that Jonathan baked these himself, as some are a little crispy and/or malformed, but they're all more or less edible. Great care has also been taken in decorating them to look like each member of the family; this part of the gift actually looks pretty damn good, probably because it took him for-fucking-ever with those gigantic bara hands.
friends;
Diego: A package of coffee beans which Jonathan spent about an hour in some beat up and moderately judgemental coffee shop choosing but is still not completely certain are any better than the other options he'd been presented, along with a mug that he thought was cute.
Killua & Gon: Both will be receiving whatever this world's version of a Gameboy is, along with one (classic) game each. Think Space Invaders/Frogger/Pac-Man kind of thing. They will also each be receiving a rugby jersey (of different teams to make practices easier), along with a rugby ball which they are instructed to share.
Annie: Several books and videos about Victorian music and dance, since they only ever seem to meet at parties how did that even start.
Hisoka: A basket of sweets, mostly decadent things that Jonathan himself would enjoy eating. It's not any better wrapped up than Giorno's.
Kitty: Whatever this world's version of Rosetta Stone as, as well as a compilation of the adventures of King Arthur with a note that this was the sort of thing that most people in his world imagined when they thought of magic.
Laurie: A set of silk handkerchiefs, monogrammed with her initials, along with several novels that Jonathan always likes to read when he's feeling kind of down in the hopes they can do the same for her. So except Victorian age mysteries and pirate adventure stories.
Grey: A live poinsettia for the holidays, and a package of sunflower seeds and instructions on how to grow and care for them once winter wraps up. Also a book about the various rabbit breeds; Jonathan made sure to choose one that was thorough but still filled with pictures, so he could admire how different they all were.
Everyone else that he has ever spoken with (even if it was like for five minutes once, seriously) will receive Christmas chocolates with festive little bows on the boxes. Everyone regardless of where they fall on the list (except Dio) will also receive a handwritten card with their gifts, although obviously the closeness of the relationship will determine how sappy the message is.
Sticking Krakatoa image page here until I can be less lazy and give it a page of my own in the journal.
